melodrama

Those of us who are perhaps 'lucky' enough to have allowed the learning balance of rural existence to seep in properly (hint, it takes a long time and includes a lot of realising there is no real society left or even much interest in ones often drift in ex towny neighbours, indeed is just accepting nothing human will sustain so get used to the hills as sort of succour ) know that melodrama is for elsewhere.
It is to be walked over as a muddy patch.
However as an extremely rare turn of events melodrama has been allowed in just a little, to this chroniclers life (knowingly, but most carefully) in that a creative neighbour has a serious illness out of the blue and efforts are being made to make what may be a limited time left on this muddy planet as interesting as possible. Which just when this Ralph was going to sit down as of a few weeks ago and collect general observations here - long long planned as an enjoyable new project, has gone and delayed somewhat as all efforts are in sorting out a computer and some equipment for this person.
Just when i had met a few people who thought may be good people to share the reality of rural with. It's more interesting (in a George Elliot way) than one may assume, or any so called nature writer i have ever encountered gets out there.
Normal service may happen soon. Missions of mercy first.
